Boerewors With A Twist

Mexican Boerie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of St. Louis Mustard sauce.
- 1 clove garlic, crushed.
- 1 green pepper
- 250g Brito’s Diced bacon
- 6 evenly piece of Oom Freddy’s Legacy Boerewors
- 6 Hot dog rolls
Method:
- Grill boerewors in a pan or braai, for 15-20 minutes or until cooked.
- Once boerewors have been cooked till brown place them in a container.
- Place bacon and chopped-up green pepper into a pan and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Cut hot dog rolls and spread mustard sauce evenly.
- Place the boerewors roll into the roll and add your gourmet onto the top of the boerie roll.
- Serve and enjoy!
BBQ Boerie
Ingredients:
- 6 evenly pieces of Grabouw Boerewors
- 1 Tomato
- 6 Hot dog rolls
- 1 Red Onion
- lettuce
- 1 Cup St. Louis BBQ Sauce
Method:
- Grill boerewors in a pan or the braai for 15-20 minutes or until brown on all sides.
- Slice onion, tomatoes, and lettuce.
- Place boerewors in the hot dog roll and add your gourmet.
- Serve with St.louis BBQ sauce and enjoy!
Chakalaka Boerie
Ingredients:
- 1,5kg Grabouw Boerewors
- 410g mild or hot chakalaka
- 410g baked beans in tomato sauce
- 2tbsp olive oil
- salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 8 Hot dog rolls
Method:
- To prepare the boerewors, braai over medium coals until cooked, for 15-20 minutes.
- For the chakalaka combine the baked beans and mild chakalaka in a pan that you can cook on the braai with, add olive oil and seasoning and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Once the boerewors is ready toast the rolls on the braai, and serve warm with boerewors and chakalaka.
Mielie Boerie
Ingredients:
- 600g Grabouw boerewors (6 x 100g boerewors pieces)
- 6 Hot dog rolls
- ½ Head of lettuce, shredded
- 500g frozen corn
- 1 Cup of grated cheese
- St. Louis Sweet Chili Sauce
Method:
- Twist off wors to the size of the hot dog rolls and cook together with the corn in a pan for 15-20 minutes.
- Smear St. Louis Sweet Chili sauce inside the rolls.
- Place boerewors into the rolls and top rolls with lettuce, cheese, and corn.
- Serve and enjoy!
