CHAKALAKA CURRIED
MINCE AND RICE

Ingredients

  • 30ml cooking oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 500g Brito’s beef mince
  • 30ml mild & spicy curry
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 5ml ginger root
  • 410g can Rhodes Quality Mild & Spicy Chakalaka
  • 250ml Prepared beef stock
  • 3 potatoes
  • Salt and ground black pepper

Method

  1. Fry the onion in the oil until soft and golden
  2. Add the mince and brown lightly
  3. Add the curry powder, the garlic and the ginger and fry for a few minutes more
  4. Add the Rhodes Quality mild & Spicy Chakalaka and the stock and bring the mince to the boil
  5. Add the potatoes, reduce the heat and simmer gently until the potatoes are cooked through
  6. Season to taste and serve over rice.
  7. Enjoy!
