
CHAKALAKA CURRIED
MINCE AND RICE
Ingredients
- 30ml cooking oil
- 1 Onion
- 500g Brito’s beef mince
- 30ml mild & spicy curry
- 1 Garlic clove
- 5ml ginger root
- 410g can Rhodes Quality Mild & Spicy Chakalaka
- 250ml Prepared beef stock
- 3 potatoes
- Salt and ground black pepper
Method
- Fry the onion in the oil until soft and golden
- Add the mince and brown lightly
- Add the curry powder, the garlic and the ginger and fry for a few minutes more
- Add the Rhodes Quality mild & Spicy Chakalaka and the stock and bring the mince to the boil
- Add the potatoes, reduce the heat and simmer gently until the potatoes are cooked through
- Season to taste and serve over rice.
