Pickled Fish 


  • 500g Fish
  • 1 Cup brown vinegar
  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • 60g packet of Smokey Joe pickled fish spice.
  • 3-4 big onions
  • Crushed Garlic
  • Fish Spice
  • Salt
  • Oil

Fish Preparation:

  1. Place 500g Fish in a pan and spice with any fish spice, garlic & salt 
  2. Drizzle oil in a pan and fry fish until firm.
  3. Once the fish is cooked set aside on a dish to cool.

Sauce Preparation:

  1. Add brown vinegar, sugar in a pot, water, and Smokey Joe pickling spice.
  2. Stir ingredients together and reduce heat once reached boiling point.
  3. Add onions and simmer for 8-10 minutes until they become soft.
  4. Once the ingredients have been cooked through allow them to cool.
  5. In a container place sauce onto the fish.
  6. Refrigerate for a day and enjoy!
