
SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS
Ingredients
- 500g Brito’s ready-made beef meatballs
- 1 teaspoon Brito’s crushed garlic
- 500g La Vina spaghetti
- 410g Rhodes braai relish
- ½ teaspoon St Louis salt
- ½ teaspoon St Louis black pepper
- 1 teaspoon St Louis mixed herbs
Method
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti, stirring often, for about 10 minutes.
- While the spaghetti is cooking, lay meatballs out on two non-stick or oiled baking sheets and bake in the oven for approximately 10 minutes or until nicely browned.
- In a large, wide saucepan, heat oil and saute the crushed garlic first.
- Add the braai relish and salt
- Add in the mixed herbs and black pepper at the very end to help bring out their flavour.
- Simmer the sauce covered for about 20-30 minutes to enhance all of the flavours.
- Transfer meatballs from the oven with tongs and place into simmering sauce to combine.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti.
